About Dr Nadine Mayers
Nadine is a treasure hunter who loves to draw out and refine the gold in leaders. She is dedicated to raising a cohort of courageous leaders who are able to lead their teams, organisations and their nations into the future that they desire to see. To this end she trained under Dr Brené Brown to become a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator in March 2019.
Nadine completed her PhD in Commerce (2016), and her MBA (2010) at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. She completed a Higher Diploma in Christian Ministry (2001) at the International Bible Institute of London, UK, where she lived for 10 years after completing her BCom (1994), LLB (1996) at the University of Stellenbosch. She is a course convenor, and lecturer at UCT GSB Executive Education, where she facilitates executive education for corporate clients from government, education and the private sector.
Nadine loves to develop teams along the principles of purpose and meaning. To this end she started Xtra-Ordinary, a strategy and leadership development consultancy that helps leaders and teams elicit extraordinary behaviours and results through the power of purpose. In her consulting work she takes teams on a purpose journey to (re)discover and co-create a shared vision, identity and purpose, and to align their strategy accordingly. She is particularly passionate about helping teams and organisations move from working in silos to working in an integrated manner. Nadine’s work experience spans across the private and non-profits sectors, national government, education and Christian ministry.
